Boston is the 24th-most populous city in the country, and it is also the cultural and financial center of the New England region of the United States.
Boston is known for its vibrant restaurant and entertainment scene. Most visiting fans will stay in either the West End/North End neighborhoods or the Copley Square section of the city. The West End is directly adjacent to the North End, and home to TD Garden. Many of the official hotels are in this area and within walking distance of TD Garden. Both neighborhoods are also known for their entertainment options, with the North End renowned the world over for its authentic Italian cuisine and charming shops and bakeries.
Copley Square is two stops away from TD Garden by public transportation and is recognized as Boston’s shopping, dining and entertainment capital. Also home to the official hotels for the event, Copley Square boasts The Copley Place and Prudential Center shopping malls, as well as the boutiques and luxury goods shops on Boylston and Newbury Streets. A short walk away are the Boston Common and Public Garden parks.
Both the West End/North End and Copley Square areas are safe for pedestrians and visitors. But as with any large city, visitors and locals alike are encouraged to remember they are in a large city and to be aware of their surroundings and belongings at all times.
